  • Where Aesthetic Expertise Meets Personalised Care: Dr. Rima Somi and the Future of Beauty

Not only does she radiate the ultimate glow herself, she brings it to you in the most individualised way possible. Everything you need to know about this rising aesthetic doctor at the forefront of the latest procedures and technologies shaping the industry!

Practising aesthetic medicine is not just about mastering technique or knowing where to inject; it goes far beyond that. It requires a trained eye, a sense of intuition, the ability to look at a face and recognise how natural beauty can be enhanced rather than replaced or reshaped. This philosophy defines the expertise of Dr. Rima Somi. Bringing together an international background with her studies in dental medicine at University of Münster, she merges clinical precision with a distinctive aesthetic vision and creative sensibility.

For her, the work is not merely a craft to be executed, but an art form, driven by passion and precision, where she operates fully within her element. Where does she work her magic? At the renowned Somi Clinic in Sofia, Bulgaria, which she founded in 2022. Yet the story of the clinic reaches much further back. It begins in 1995, in the town of Samokov, where her father, Dr. Lian Somi, first established the practice. Over the years, he built not only a clinic, but a name — one that would come to stand for trusted dental and aesthetic care among patients in Bulgaria and far beyond.

Through the dedication and perseverance of its early days, Somi Clinic has evolved into one of Bulgaria’s leading names in aesthetic medicine. Today, its portfolio spans from lip enhancements and non-surgical rhinoplasty to comprehensive full-face treatments with fillers and advanced non-surgical lifting techniques. And the list hardly ends there. When it comes to enhancing natural beauty and elevating confidence through the latest innovations, the possibilities feel almost limitless.

What truly sets Somi Clinic apart is not only the breadth of treatments it offers, but its deeply personalised approach to every patient. From the moment you step through its doors, you are welcomed by Dr. Rima Somi and her experienced, warm team, creating an atmosphere where you feel like more than just a patient. There is an openness and attentiveness that immediately builds trust, ensuring your individual needs are genuinely understood and carefully considered.

This philosophy becomes especially evident in one of their signature approaches, the “no-makeup contour.” True to its name, the result is a naturally sculpted, softly defined look without relying on makeup. At a time when aesthetic treatments are often linked to an overdone, artificial finish, Somi Clinic is taking a different direction. The focus shifts toward subtle enhancement, working with your features rather than against them, in line with a new beauty mindset where natural, effortless-looking results define the standard.

Instead of using bronzer, highlighter or concealer, this effect is achieved through injectable treatments, primarily dermal fillers, sometimes complemented by botulinum toxin. The aim is subtle: to refine the way light falls on the face, enhancing structure, balance and radiance without any obvious signs of intervention. The result is an elevated, effortless version of yourself, one that carries you seamlessly from the moment you wake up to the end of the day, without the need for daily makeup.

At Somi Clinic, this is never a one-size-fits-all treatment. Each procedure begins with a detailed, individual analysis, from full facial assessment and anamnesis to an in-depth evaluation of proportions and facial dynamics. Based on this, a tailored plan is created, defining the precise areas to treat, the most suitable products, and the exact quantities required.

And while many may assume the focus lies solely on the face, Somi Clinic takes a far more holistic approach. A range of treatments is designed to enhance other areas of the body as well, offering subtle yet effective results beyond facial aesthetics.

One example is Endolift, a minimally invasive laser treatment that tightens the skin, improves elasticity and gently remodels tissue without the need for surgery. Unlike surface-level procedures, it works from within, targeting the deeper layers beneath the skin to create a more refined and lifted appearance.
The treatment can be applied to areas such as the knees, jawline and double chin, neck, lower face and other parts of the body. Its effects focus on three key elements: skin tightening, collagen stimulation and tissue remodelling.

What Dr. Rima Somi and her team offer goes far beyond botox or fillers. It is about leaving the clinic as the most elevated version of yourself, with a renewed sense of confidence that allows both your inner and outer beauty to come through with clarity and ease.

  • Where Menswear and Precision Collide at the Highest Level: JUCAN – A Swiss Brand Rooted in the Art of Suit-Making, Setting a New Standard in Luxury Tailoring

What started as a passion for fashion and detail ten years ago has grown into made-to-measure craftsmanship worn by everyone from world-class football players to the most talked-about DJs.

Switzerland has long been synonymous with precision, quality, and understated luxury, a standard this brand embodies in the most refined way. JUCAN is defined by an exceptional level of service and meticulous attention to detail, creating a tailored experience that feels both elevated and accessible. The CEO and creative force behind the brand is Johannes Ucan, joined by Tizian Scheidegger as the strategic mind shaping its foundation. Not a concept built overnight, but a craftsmanship-driven vision shaped over the past decade to redefine menswear beyond the existing market.

    Photo: Jucan

One might assume that such a level of professional tailoring comes from a designer who has devoted his entire life to the craft. Yet in this case, the path was far from conventional. Johannes Ucan began his career as an automotive mechanic, already redesigning his own workwear as his passion for perfectly fitting garments persisted, even in a completely different field.

Realising early on that this was not his calling, he transitioned into sales at a menswear retailer. But recurring questions like “Where are your trousers from?” or “Where can I find a suit that fits this well?” continued to follow him. This ultimately led him to a clear vision: to close the gap in truly individual menswear. Built on the belief that every man deserves a made-to-measure suit at a fair price, JUCAN was born in 2015. Today, the brand operates two boutiques spanning 250 square metres of retail space in the heart of St. Gallen and Zurich, with plans for international expansion already underway.

    Photo: Jucan

Beginning with a clear focus on made-to-measure menswear, the brand has since expanded to include its own ready-to-wear collection as well as a curated range of accessories. These include sneakers, Goodyear-welted leather shoes, ties and socks. At the core of the collection lies the idea of affordable luxury, combining high-quality materials, timeless silhouettes and effortlessly versatile pieces. Whether selecting a ready-to-wear suit in classic sizes or seeking a more individual approach, JUCAN places no limits on its clients’ wishes.

The brand’s signature aesthetic is defined by wide lapels, soft shoulders and elegantly tailored trousers with a high waist and no belt loops. Over the years, JUCAN’s made-to-measure craftsmanship has established a strong presence, attracting a discerning clientele across politics, sports and entertainment. Drawn by the prospect of owning a truly individual piece, tailored by founder Johannes Ucan himself, figures such as Swiss national team captain Granit Xhaka, DJs like Rampa and DJ Antoine, as well as musician Loco Escrito have all turned to the brand. The list continues with both national and international athletes, including Karim Adeyemi, Timo Meier and Julian Weigl, all embracing JUCAN’s distinctive approach to modern menswear.

Using made-to-measure fashion as its own language, JUCAN’s ambition goes beyond simply dressing people well; it is about conveying a distinct feeling. An experience tailored to individual needs, designed to enhance confidence, express individuality and reflect a modern sense of style. One that stays with you long after you leave the store, a quiet sense of nostalgia reminding you that a visit to JUCAN is never just another purchase, but a personal moment of choosing pieces that accompany you through everyday life. From the office to an appointment, a relaxed occasion or a formal evening, each perfectly tailored garment ensures a lasting impression. Because to feel good is to dress well, and JUCAN stands behind that philosophy.

  • Made in Italy, Inspired by the UAE and Sophia Loren’s 60s Glamour Aesthetic: A Luxury Brand Redefining the Kaftan as a New Global Uniform

Marabou feathers, fringe and asymmetric cuts — Taller Marmo tells its own modern fairy tale of extravagance and glamour, embraced by Paris Hilton, Kylie Minogue and many more.

In a world where minimalism dominates not only fashion, but also art and architecture, Taller Marmo remains committed to a touch of drama, expressed through a bold, dynamic and luxurious aesthetic that envelops the body in an irresistible aura. More than a womenswear brand, it introduces a distinct fashion language, one that underscores feminine energy in a soft yet powerful way.

Taller Marmo. The name itself is a fusion of its founders’ origins: “Taller”, Spanish for craftsmanship, and “Marmo”, the Italian word for marble, a noble material long associated with excellence and luxury. Behind the brand, founded in 2013, are Riccardo Audisio and Yago Goicoechea, who first met while studying at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Yet the Italian fashion capital was not where the story of Taller Marmo truly began.

    Photo: Taller Marmo

Instead, it leads us further, to the Middle East. In 2012, the duo left their studies behind and moved to Dubai, where they discovered the inspiration that would go on to define the brand’s DNA. It is here that the foundation of Taller Marmo was formed, a vision that still resonates in almost every piece today. At its core was a simple yet striking idea: the kaftan, reimagined through flowing fabrics and infused with the glamour and hedonism of the 1960s and 70s, echoing the spirit of old Hollywood.

With some of their very first designs in hand, they approached one of Dubai’s most renowned boutiques for abayas and kaftans, asking if their creations might find a place there. The answer was yes. Having successfully sold their initial pieces, what began as a bold instinct soon evolved into something greater, the foundation of Taller Marmo as we know it today.

After winning the Woolmark Prize at the regional final for India, Pakistan and the Middle East, they chose to move their base to the city that first brought them together, Milan.

    Photo: Taller Marmo

The designs are unapologetically expressive, radiant, fluid and steeped in a sense of pure luxury, with nostalgic echoes of Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren as enduring icons of 60s and 70s glamour. Marabou feather trims along hems and sleeves define the pieces as a signature detail, while fringe, at times inspired by the traditional Manila shawl, introduces movement and texture. The silhouettes play with asymmetry, often balanced by high necklines and wide, flowing sleeves, alongside recurring one-shoulder variations. At the heart of it all lies a clear philosophy: a modular design approach rather than fleeting trend pieces.

    Photo: Taller Marmo

Years ago, when asked which woman they would most love to dress, the duo named Rossy de Palma. A vision that has since become reality. The Spanish icon has been seen in Taller Marmo’s dramatic creations, from fluid black kaftans to floor-length designs in sheer tulle fully covered in shimmering sequins. And she is far from alone. Taraji P. Henson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel in a signature one-shoulder gown, Kylie Minogue embraced a sleek, modern interpretation of the kaftan, and Paris Hilton stepped out in a dramatic feather- and crystal-embellished stole.

What began with a few pieces placed in a boutique for abayas and kaftans, without certainty of what might follow, has evolved into an international presence. Today, the brand is available on some of the world’s leading luxury platforms, including Net-a-Porter, Farfetch, Browns and Matchesfashion, inviting every woman to step into a world where glamour feels both effortless and entirely her own.

  • From Mechanical Engineering to a Celebration of the Feminine: Ilái Sarái, The Rise of a Distinct Voice in Fashion

Rooted in melody, poetry and mythology, the rising UAE-based fashion brand unfolds through waves of culture, identity and the ever-evolving journey of becoming.

What began as a luxury lifestyle and homeware brand has recently expanded into ready-to-wear label. Ilái Sarái was founded by Saina Babaee, the brand’s creator and creative director, who presented her first fashion collection Wadi 00/ Quest  in Dubai in November 2025.

Considering the finesse of her pieces, it may come as a surprise that Babaee does not have a traditional fashion background. On the contrary, she is a mechanical engineer and currently holds the position of Vice President of Controls and Digitalisation at Siemens Energy.

    Ilái Sarái

Her path into fashion was shaped not only by a deeper longing for creativity but also by a desire to reconnect with her cultural roots. Originally from Iran, Babaee has long hosted intimate Persian gatherings, from Yalda celebrations to Nowruz dinners, bringing people together through tradition, storytelling and shared rituals that would later influence the world of Ilái Sarái.

While leading her first royal commission for the wedding of Princess Iman Pahlavi, where she curated the bespoke Sofreh Aghd, the traditional Persian wedding ceremony table, she recognized a significant gap in the market. There were few modern luxury objects that drew inspiration from Persian culture while still feeling contemporary. From this realization, the story of Ilái Sarái began.

Behind the beautifully crafted candles and ceramics, as well as the dresses and two-pieces, lies a strong philosophy that shapes the entire world of Ilái Sarái. At the heart of the brand stands the idea of “The Art of Becoming,” a concept that reflects its deeper creative vision. Babaee’s inspiration does not come from traditional fashion references. Instead, her creative universe is shaped by Kurdish melodies, Persian poetry and mystical narratives.

Her first name, Saina, meaning “Simurgh,” the mythical Persian bird, anchors the symbolic core of Ilái Sarái. Ilái translates to “moon of the tribe,” while Sarái means “home,” together evoking a place of belonging, heritage and transformation. In a region where many brands gravitate toward glamour or streetwear, it is this poetic and cultural foundation that allows Ilái Sarái to stand apart with a distinct voice in fashion.

Structure softens into grace, with layered silhouettes that carry a quiet strength while maintaining clean, defined lines.

This distinct vision was presented not through a traditional runway show, but through three acts featuring performances by Shan Nash and Mr Dervish.

The collection, Wadi 00 / Quest, draws inspiration from Kurdish tribal dress, the Persian Sufi poem “Conference of the Birds”, and the symbolic movement from darkness into light. In collaboration with the Vaqar sisters, the presentation reimagined femininity through a lens of strength, transformation and poetic storytelling.

A brand that exists somewhere between a fashion house, design studio and cultural platform, defined by quiet luxury and refined minimalism. A palette ranging from black and ivory to muted earth tones, flowing fabrics, layered drapes and a signature statement belt that appears across dresses and vests.

Subtle references to Kurdish and Persian garments shape modular outfits that can move effortlessly between contexts. Designed for women navigating cultures and environments, from meetings to dinners to travel.

In this vision, heritage is no longer bound to tradition but understood as something living and evolving. What emerges is a fashion language defined not by trends, but by strength, movement and timeless elegance.
